While Mom was cleaning out the boys’ room to re-arrange some furniture she found a couple of book store gift cards that Corwin had received some unknown time in the past. She decided that we should make a run out to the book store to cash them in and because we hadn’t been out there for a while.
Mom ordered the children to prepare for departure but our venture was delayed because Corwin lost the gift cards. He picked them up off his dresser but by the time he had put his socks and shoes on and went to wait on the couch he no longer had the cards. He had also lost all memory of the time between picking them up and Mom checking to see if he had them. The entire family spent about 15-20 minutes looking for them. I eventually found them — in Corwin’s ear! Mom thought Corwin should pay me a finder’s fee but I offered to let him agree with me that I had found them in his ear. So that trick still works on Corwin.
