Fork training

Corwin and Charles were playing Score Four out on the back porch the other day. Corwin was doing well so I decided to intervene a bit.

I showed how, in the last game, Charles would have won if Corwin had made a certain dumb move. I expained that if Charles had made a certain other move it would have set up a fork after which Corwin would have to either make the dumb move and lose, or not and still lose. I helped Charles do it to Corwin in another game after that to make it clearer. I was rewarded for my fatherly virtue a bit later when Charles laughed with joy because he deliberately set a fork up by himself. Corwin was not amused.
