This evening we touched on the subject of starting a grill. I mentioned the effort to have the fastest lighting grill in the world.
Charles: How fast did they do it?
Dad: Under two seconds.
Corwin: How?
Dad: [to Mom] Should I tell them or do you think it would just encourage undesirable behavior [meaningful glance at Charles].
Mom: The latter.
Corwin: Please?
Mom: No.
Corwin: Charles, big blue eyes, go!
Charles: [with big eyes but no other facial adjustment] Please, Mom?
Mom: Charles that just makes you look a bit psychotic.
Alice: Mom, please will you let Charles get two guinea pigs?
