Delicate blossom

We had to stop Alice from playing with her brothers today. First Corwin scratched her foot (not even bad enough to ooze) and we had to set her aside until she stopped crying. Then she went down to play with the brothers who were enjoying the beating sticks. She was fine until Charles hit her with his hand or arm or elbow (nobody could give us a clear story) and gave Alice a bloody nose. At least this time there was an actual injury, but we figured that perhaps the boys had moved to a level of interaction that was a bit much for one of Alice’s tender years.
