I not funny!

[dinner time]

Mom: Alice! Get a napkin and wipe your hands on that.

Alice: Why?

Mom: So you don’t wipe your hand on my shirt.

Alice: I didn’t.

[Alice wipes hands on Mom’s sleeve]

Mom: What was that?

Alice: I don’t know.

Dad: [chuckles]

Alice: What is funny?

Dad: You.

Alice: No! I not funny!.

Dad: What’s funny then?

Alice: You! [laughs]

You laughed when Susan’s clothes were soiled.….so will you be doing the laundry from now on????

I am still trying to introduce my offspring to the finer point fo using a napkin…it’s really not catching on, yet. I ave not given up hope.

That didn’t cause any more laundry, Mom has long since passed the point where nothing short of a major containment failure leaking on her causes her to change clothes.

You know you are a mom when you are out of kleenex and don’t think twice about using your shirt to wipe your toddler’s nose. When the kids are older, they can use their own shirt
